Contraction confusion

Anyone not sure if it is full baby movement or a contraction? If they are contractions I just hit four in an hour... Think I need to cal the dr if they continue, right? Babies r moving like crazy and i am laying down and drinkong water... Could I just be being kicked in the ribs too? First babies so I feel clueless!!!

I had pre-term labor at 26 weeks and have trying to tell the difference between this exact thing since then.

A contraction will slowly build up and go away.  Also, lay down and poke around on your belly.....if it is a contraction, the whole thing will be hard.  If there are soft spots, it may be babies pushing or maybe you need to take a BM?

Just remember to know when to trust your instincts too.  If you think it is too much, it doesn't hurt to call the doc on be on the safe side.  It isn't fun.  Every time I have one, I panic.  But it is 'normal' for us to have contractions at this point.  As long as they are not timeable, intense, regular.
