Today...

I think I've mentioned before that FI texts me while he's at work (on his breaks). His breaks are usually at 10 30, 1 30 or 2, and again at about 4 30. I'm really hoping that his phone has been diconnected. He hasn't texted me yet, and it is taking a lot of effort to keep myself from worrying.

On the bright side I feel like a genius. I got hungry, and decided to make pilsbury crescent rolls, but I wanted something sweet. So I decided to add cinnamon and sugar to them. I can't believe I haven't thought of it sooner. Next time I need to put more cinnamon and sugar on them though.

I smear nutella or choc chips then roll them up, so good!

  • I'm sure he's fine. I just worry a lot, and really easily.

And I've always loved cinnamon and suger on toast, so for Christmas 2 years ago my mom got me a cinnamon/sugar grinder. Like a pepper mill, but better! It's amazing. I haven't used it much, because we don't keep bread in the house often (we never finish a loaf before it gets moldy). When I was a kid my grandmother had a tupperware shaker thingy that she had it mixed in for me, and we always kept a pre-mixed bowl by the toaster.

  • I love cinnamon and sugar on toast.  I bought one of the premixed shakes from the grocery store and when it gets empty I just refill it with my own mix.  My parents have always had one as well.

I usually put a little tomato sauce and cheese or ham and cheese in the crescent rolls when I want a yummy snack.  Never thought of doing something sweet with them.

  • Another really yummy thing with crescent rolls is to cut about a 1 inch by 1 inch piece of chicken breast and add a squirt of a condiment - I like either honey mustard or teriyaki sauce - and wrap the roll around the chicken and sauce. Bake them until the chicken's cooked through. It's kind of like pigs in a blanket but healthier. And nummmmmmmy. :)
