Enfamil check denied

I tried to use an Enfamil check at Wal-mart last night and it kept saying that it was denied.  The clerk called someone, (I'm not sure who) and said that what is happening is that they are coming back denied, because the money is gone in the account that the checks come out of.      Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, I've had the systems at both Walgreen's and Walmart "deny" my Enfamil checks before -- but the cashier (generally with a managers direction) have always rung them in manually (as a coupon or cash rather than as a check).

Were they trying to Telecheck it?  I've never had them do that before, usually they just run it as a "other" coupon/check when I use mine at the grocery store.  Maybe try another store?

Yes, I think they were trying to run it through as a check.  They gave me a number to call, but maybe I will try to use them at another store.

They can't run them as a check...gets denied every time.  But my stupid walmart said that no walmart accepts the formula checks and so I started boycotting them (for formula, until i switched to the Parent's Choice version) and went 100 miles to the next Walmart where they took my checks no problem.

they have to put them through as a rebate check or as a travelers check or they will get denied

If you are like me, you have very little time to shop and usually DC is with you.  I have had the checks denied and I just stand there and wait until a manager comes.  Those checks add up and I need to use them!
