CP: Playtex Latex Nipples on non drop-in bottles?

I am trying to get her off the drop in bottles because of the waste/cost etc.. Would much rather her drink from a bottle that is not a drop in. Problem is, the girl will not drink from a silicone nipple, only latex. (It was a battle to get her to even take a bottle, and I have tried to get her back on a silicon style one with no luck.)  I tried seeing if the nipple would fit on all the other bottles I currently own...dr brown, avent, nuk etc... and no luck.

The only thing that looks like it might work is using the playtex ventaire wide bottles and swapping the nipple.  Just curious if anyone has tried this or knows of another bottle that will work.  Thanks so much!

  • I haven't personally, but I'm 99% sure they will fit on the ventaire!

  • I have both the Playtex drop-ins and Vent-Aire Wide Bottles and I have been able to interchange the nipples on both bottles but I use the silicone nipples. The nipples that come with both kinds are identical. I wouldnt see why your latex nipple wouldnt work on a Vent-aire wide bottle.

  • Thanks everyone for the feedback. I just went and bought a wide Ventaire bottle and am so happy it works.  Goodbye drop ins!!
