Sad update on our older dog

Thank you to everybody for kind words and thoughts.  Jasmine is not getting any better, may even be a bit worse.  She still is not eating and threw up the meds that were supposed to stimulate her appeitie.  DH and I have made the hard decison to let her go today.  She is here physically but mentally she is not, we can't continue to let her suffer, she is literally watching life going by her.  She can't really stand up and walk very far without falling over.  Her spririt is gone, her eyes are glazed over and she is just not there anymore.  I don't want to remember her in so much pain and hurt.  I want to look at the pictures and videos and remember the true essence of Jasmine.

I am so sorry Jasmine isn't doing any better. I can't imagine how hard it must be to see your dog suffer the way she has. I hope that you're able to find some peace in letting her go knowing she won't be in pain anymore.

I am so sorry you have to make that decision.  I'm tearing up for you because I remember having to make the same decision a few years ago.  Just give her all the love you can and know that you are doing the right thing for her, since her quality of life is no longer there.  HUGS!!!

I am so very, very sorry to hear this.  I can only imagine how devastated you all must feel.  One of the most loving and compassionate things a pet parent can do is show mercy and let their beloved pet go when it is time.  I commend you for your bravery in the face of this heartbreak.  Sending so many hugs to you at this difficult time.  (((gina000 and Jasmine)))
