I was in the waiting room at my OB yesterday, and this teenage girl walks in (with her mom) about 8 month pg. She was wearing t-tiny hot pink shorts with a matching Hollister t-shirt. I mean, it was only in the upper 70's here yesterday. Not 100 degrees to justify said outfit.
But there she was showing every inch of her legs (that were oddly tan) and probably an inch or two of something else had I looked close enough. And her way too tight shirt that didn't quite come down past the top of her shorts.
Me thinks maybe that indicates how she got knocked up in the first place? I couldn't help but judge. And then we found out we were having a girl and I know DH went pale thinking that could be us in 16 years.
Re: I didn't realize Hollister had a maternity line
OMG.
I would love a little girl, but hearing about stuff like that makes me want all boys.
If I would have gotten pregnant at 16 my mom would have probably made me wear a bruka until I turned 18.
Lord help my son, if he knocks up a girl in high school.
Pet Peeve of Mine: If you are pregnant, wear maternity clothing. Regular clothing with your belly and ass hanging out look stupid.
Should of took a pic on your cellphone and posted... pricesless!!!
When I'm not pregnant I wear little shorts. But I make sure they cover what needs to be covered, and I also make sure that my shirt reaches my shorts.
Also, I still wear normal clothes alot of the time. I need to get more maternity clothes, but I still wear my regular yoga pants, and my t-shirts mostly still fit.
Haha. This
I am sure you look nothing like this girl did. I'm not saying little shorts are bad, I've worn them when I was skinnier. But this was just...wrong. In so many ways.
Her legs looked great though, I was a little jealous
LOL, yes! I posted this morning. Titled "None of my boy names are going to work".
We would do that to our daughter! It KILLS me! I was watching 16 & pregnant and the girl is, of course, 16 and pregnant and was asking her mom about moving out and living with her boyfriend. And of course it didn't work out and her mom kept saying "are you ready to come back home?" UM she's 16, MAKE her come home! Idiots.

Wow...it's a store geared towards teens (I think), and they make maternity clothes...great.
Haha... ditto to this - but I actually got a good laugh out of the actual story... I think my husband would have heart failure if he saw this scene unfold at our Drs office...
I was being sarcastic
Yikes!
If her legs were tanned I'd be jealous too. I have two skin tones: Snow White, and Lobster. It's unfair.
Oh my gosh, THIS. It sucks. I finally just decided to stop caring a few years ago and embrace the pale, rather than mess with fake tan or cover up my arms and legs when it's blistering hot outside.
I do occasionally get a bit of a tan, but I can never get it on purpose. If I sit outside in the sun trying to tan, I either come back in just as white as before, or looking like a lobster. If I'm outside while camping or whatever, I usually get a little colour, but I don't like wearing shorts when I'm camping, because the chairs are either itchy or I stick to them.
I've given up. I'm ok with being pale, it's a better option than skin cancer in my opinion.
It's just not fair, because my dad and sister have perma-tans. At the end of camp one summer my sister was darker than her east indian friend, it was pretty amusing to everyone involved.
And this is precisely why everyone says boys are so much "easier" than girls. I cringe when I think about all the stuff our little girl will put us through. I was by no means an easy teenager. I WAS, however, smart enough to not get pregnant before I was ready to have a child.
I found FI's first gray hair this weekend and joked that the baby girl is causing him to go gray before she's even out of the womb!
Lol!! Too funny. My hollister tank tops (which is the only hollister item I ever fit into) still fit my belly...very stretchy!
But yea, I can only imagine the booty shorts and stretched out Hco shirt...terrible.
