OMG why is my DD up for 2 hrs a night??

I am so tired lol...she has STTN for 7 days in a row and the last 2 nights she been up at 1-3. DS has gotten up at 4 for the day & won't go back until 5am.

What gives? I gave them tylenol for their teeth but they weren't even crying. Just wide awake. I gave them water..did nothing for them.

I really think i need to separate them so they can stay in their cribs without waking the other one. Ugh..

Vent over. Thanks

  • Are they sleeping tons during the day? My guys were doing that for awhile until I tried shortening their naps a little bit. Now they don't wake through the night anymore. They were getting 5ish hours of daytime sleep and waking at midnight to "play". Now they get 3ish hours of daytime sleep and don't wake up in the night to have a party.

  • Hey there!!! They are only getting 2 1/2 to 3 hrs a day. That's why they were sleeping so good. now it's like even if they get 2 hrs of sleep during the day they are still up. Your boys are so flippin cute. I'm glad you are getting sleep now :) It was rough there for a bit. I'm back to it and it's driving me nuts because i have to go to work. Thankfully i'm off today.

I'm wondering if they are getting too much stimulation during the day? or taking them out on walks or on errand is messing up their schedule? I have to take them out today so we'll see. I can't be a hermit just to suit them lol...but sleep..oh how i miss thee lol

  • How many naps a day are the taking? At 7 months, we switched from three naps a day to two naps per day (moved to a 4-hour bottle schedule), and it greatly improved night sleep and daytime naps.

2 wks ago we switched to 2 naps/4hr bottles and it was helping alot. Now it's like they are going backwards. Plus dh is out of town this week so it's all on me and working full time. So i'm hoping they start STTN again real soon!!!

  • Ugh, so sorry to hear that. And with DH out of town, ugh. No fun. Hope you're unwinding with a glass of wine every night.

  • Hi, I don't really have much advice because my boys are still waking up to eat 3 times at night!  All I can say is I feel your pain, I also work and hubby has to be up at 430 am so he does not help at night.

I can't wait til the day where they both sleep thru the night... in the mean time is coffee everyday for me!
