Sun Baby?

Anyone try sun baby pockets?  They are SO CHEAP that it seems way too good to be true.  I'm tempted to buy some but what's the catch?  Cheaper materials?  Made in a sweatshop?  I saw there were some okay reviews of them on here.  Just thought I'd check with the board for any other insights.  Thanks!

My mom bough a lot of 4 off ebay for $20 including shipping they are 20 ish months old and DS still wears them wish she hasn't bough pink and purple.... It was when we were just starting clotha nd she tried ebay to find non PF for me

Well, being made in a sweatshop is probably one of the reasons why they are cheap.

I have two and I never use them. They both leak, and run very small compared to other one sized pockets.

I was thinking I might take the insert out and use them as a swim diaper. Maybe then I could get some use out of them.

If your going to buy a pocket for cheap, I'd recommend going with the Kawaii diapers. The materials used are much better, they work well, and they are almost as inexpensive.

Be sure you're looking at Sunbaby 4.0s and not the earlier versions.

We LOVE ours. They were so cheap and work well and have hip snaps. I got them without inserts because I heard their inserts are pretty marginal. I stuff with prefolds. I've never had a leak in them, they are our go-to daytime diapers. (Not good for nights, though.)

I had one, not sure the version and its TINY. She outgrew it by 6 months and shes only 20%ile on the charts. It also leaked like crazy. But it was $4 including shipping so I can't complain. lol

I have lots of them, they are great. I haven't had problems with leaking. I agree that they run small, but my DD is five months and will be able to fit them for quite a while still.

So the sun baby inserts dont absorb well ? Micro fiber / bamboo / balanced ? Or all . What would one suggest to use instead ? Hemp ?

I have lots of sunbabys and really like them. I don't find them to be small. DD has been 50th percentile forever, she is now 10 months and 20 pounds. The inserts are ok, but I prefer to stuff with bamboo.

To the original poster, Sun Baby are a cheapy brand and generally you get what you pay for. (I've never used SunBaby.)

If you're looking for an inexpensive option, you might want to try Kawaii diapers.  Kawaii doesn't have a ton of prints or colors, but they're a decent diaper at a reasonable price.

If money is super tight, you might also want to consider buying used, or seeing if your area has a cloth diaper charity.
