snuggle nest?

do u recommend it? we have tried EVERYTHING to get DS to sleep without being on our chests and sleeping in the recliner is OLD.

I'm wondering if a snuggle nest is good, as we don't want to co-sleep without the added protection of us rolling over on him.

Re: snuggle nest?

  • Worked out great with DS.  I recommend it.  I haven't used it with DD this time around since I am successfully BFing (whereas I couldn't with DS) so I've been having her right next to me so I can nurse her side-lying during the night.  I bought a Dex Baby bed rail so she will be between that and me with DH on the other side of me.

But DH still has yet to move back into the bedroom, lol.  He's been sleeping in the guest bed since she was born!

  • We got it with DD and never used it in the bed. When we used it on the couch she would roll or scoot down.

Also both kids had reflux (DS still does) so they need to sleep at an incline.

Personally I thought it was a waste of $50 and gave it to my sister.

  • I have something similar to a snuggle nest and I love it. DS still wakes frequently but he will. Actually sleep without me holding him. So I consider that a success. HE hated his bassinet. I have a bed rail on. One. Side of the bed, then the baby's bed, then im in the middle and DH is next to me.
  • One of the best things that happened to us within the 1st week of DS life was someone loaning us their snuggle nest.  We only used it for 6 weeks because he started sleeping so well in his own bed at that point.  But before that, I think I would have lost my mind without it.

  • We've only been home for four nights, but I love mine.  I like to have DS right next to me without feeling like I could hurt him.
