So I called today to make an appointment to have my car seat checked. Turns out that it takes them 7 days to call you back and that they typically schedule checks 4 weeks out. So basically, I may not be able to get an appointment until I am 40+ weeks.

Moral of the story is get those car seat inspection appointments scheduled ASAP!

Where are you getting it checked at? I would try just stopping by the fire or police dept, and see if they can do it.

Man that sucks. Is there any place else you can go? That seems like an unreasonable amount of time.

I'm getting my car seats this weekend (I hope!) so I will schedule an inspection asap. Thanks for the heads up!

This is through the police department, the fire department doesn't do the checks anymore where I live. Even though there is a backup, I HAVE to go through my local station or a public event. The last one was on 9/26 and they haven't scheduled another yet so I am going to have to keep checking the hotline to see if they get another one scheduled soon.
