My difficult baby?

My daughter is almost 8 months old, she is the best baby for me (mom) so long as we do mostly the the same routine and in general so long as I am the only person to hold her, feed her, change her. She does great at her kindermusic class, and loves her walks. then there is the other side of things. If we visit certain places shes seems to absolutely loose it, one place in particular is my parents house. My mom is pretty good about getting down to her level and playing eith her, but my dad refuses to give her the time she needs and goes right in to pick her up and handle her. She has never been that type of baby and really gets unsettled. they all want my husband and I to leave her screaming and take a walk  and they want her to just cry it out. We dont agree. I really need imput. I have so much more on this subject, babys up. Please write with any thoughts.
