Question for those with a Baby Jogger Double

At the most upright setting, does the seat seem fairly reclined? I've posted on here before about how my 14 month old hated our Bob because of the slight recline in the seat-- he just doesn't want to sit back. He loves my mom's Graco stroller because he sits upright and can see the action. We're looking at doubles (the Bumbleride or the City Mini), and I'd rather go with the City Mini just based on price.

Re: Question for those with a Baby Jogger Double

  • The baby jogger double has a slight recline when it is in the "fully upright" position.

You can order a board of some sort from Baby Jogger to make the seat a little more upright. You can also get the 2011 version. This problem is supposed to be fixed in the new version.

Even with the board the seat has a bit of a recline - the board just eliminates the "sling/hammock" aspect of the seat.  You can always get a belly bar so your DS can use that pull and hold himself more upright.

  • Maybe it's just the way DD sits in it, but I feel like she's always slightly reclined in our Bumbleride Indie too so that might not help your problem.  (Although, she doesn't seem to mind)

  • We just bought the City mini double (2010 version) and I thought the recline would be bad since I've heard so much about it. It doesn't bother DS at all and I was for sure it would but he can still see everything and look out. I happen to think it's barely noticeable but that's just me.

Thats good to know too-- for the cost, I wouldn't want to have that problem! Thanks!

    I agree.

We have the 2010 single and the 2011 double. We just got the belly bar, but haven't used it yet.
