Due Date/Conception Date

I had my ultrasound on Saturday May 7th. The tech told me I was exactly 19 weeks along. Does that mean my conception date was exactly 19 weeks prior?  I'm wondering if my due date is different too.  I'm so confused!

The ultrasound is just to show how the baby is measuring- your due date won't change unless your Dr. specifically tells you so. Your conception date is based off your due date, not the baby's measurements.

I agree with the PP, also, babies all grow differently.  Unless your doctor tells your otherwise, your due date will stay the same.

Correct me if I am wrong but when they date by ultrasound I still think its by LMP date and not by conception date.

Also, I think u/s dating is based entirely upon size, and not necessarily development.  So its not the most reliable indicator of the best due date.  Usually doctors won't change a due date unless its significant (like a week or more).

At my first u/s my baby was measuring behind.  Four weeks later she was measuring right on track.  I've always had the same due date.

They count from the date of your last period, but most people don't ovulate, and therefore can't conceive, until 2 weeks later. The normal 40 week pregnancy average that they tell you about is based on starting the first day of your last period, not the day you conceived.

I was on Clomid my LMP was Nov. 4 & we had an IUI on Nov. 17th, Got our 1st BFP 10dpiui & my due date is Aug 10th. but remember the egg has to tk its journey and the spermies have to mk their journey too. my guess is we prob concieved Nov 18th, but there really is no way to no 4 sure
