GIven Sofka's post, I should rejoice that Sprout is STTN, I know. But I want it all!
Lately he's been sleeping from 7/7:30 pm to 5am. The 5am "Yay! I'm so excited to see you! Let's play!" squeal is the worst sound in the world. He was sleeping until 6am which both my husband & I can tolerate. His naps really haven't changed (two 1.5-2hr naps) at all.
Would putting him to bed later result in a later wake up or are we just going through a very early rising phase?
Re: What time does your 10-ish month old go to bed?
I'm jealous that you get two 2-hour naps! M's naps are usually around 30 minutes. A one-hour nap is a long nap around here.
Baby Handy goes down around 7:00-7:10 pm and wakes anywhere from 5:45-6:30AM. He does wake once for a feeding anytime between 12AM - 4AM.
He usually gets in about one 2-hr nap but sometimes it's 2 1 hr naps. He naps way better at daycare than at home.
I love his 7pm bedtime, it means I get a decent amount of downtime with DH at the end of the day. He gets very, very cranky if we keep him up even a little past his bedtime, which we do rarely.

it's a joy to be up before the sunrise isn't it.
when Warner was that age, his bedtime was 7pm, but sometimes he'd need to go down by 6 or 6:30. and he usually slept until somewhere between 6 or 7.
and if he woke before 6am, I let him chill until 6 because mama doesn't get up that early! ;-) he was almost always fine just babbling/singing to himself and playing with his lovey.
I will tell you that pretty much every time we tried to put him to bed a little later in hopes that he would sleep later in the morning, it backfired and he woke up even earlier. this is where the old nestie stand by statement "sleep begets sleep" comes into play! if I were you, I would actually try putting him to bed a half hour earlier to see if he might sleep longer.
try putting him down 15-30mins earlier
DD's bedtime has been 7pm for a long long time, DS's closer to 7:30, I wish it was 7 and he's ready at 7 but I can't really nurse him until DD is asleep b/c she distracts him.
Less than 4 weeks to go until I can wean!!!! (not that I'm counting days or anything).
Bambino normally goes down around 8. I agree that sleep begets sleep. Right now, he's typically waking up at 3:45 or right at 5 when I wake up for work and he nurses at either time, then goes back down till about 7ish.
