re: MS fitteds

For those of you who have used MS one-size fits most (not toddler) fitteds, when did you find that they no longer fit well?

I stopped buying MS a while ago because of all the warnings of the fit and low rise. I keep waiting for the plumbers crack or for them suddenly not to work but it hasn't happened yet. DD is 8 and 1/2 months old now and I can still use the cross over snaps on my MS fitteds and the rise still hits her belly button. Do they just fit her frame well? Or will she outgrow them, just not yet?

TIA :)

Re: re: MS fitteds

  • They have nice wide wings and I can still cross them over on my DD. There was a period (about 10-12 months) that they started being too short since she was super chunky. At that point I couldn't cross the wings but they did touch in the middle. Once she started walking at 12 months, she started to slim down. They now fit great again. The toddler ones are absolutely huge on her.
  • I was hesitant too but also have not had any issues with the fit.  I really like how stretchy they are and have not had plumbers crack or anything like that.  I recently ordered two SYOF customs because I just hadn't been loving her fabric choices but was interested in more of her dipes.  I love the $$ cost, very reasonable and they ship out the next day!  can't beat it, IMO

  • While I can still cross over the wings, we started having plumbers crack last month in both the regular and overnight absorbency (L is 6 months yesterday). We definitely have more trouble with the ON because the inserts add bulk. I guess it depends on the baby?

  • I couldn't use the overnights since, I dunno, she was 4 months?

ZB seems to have a long rise, though.  That, and I couldn't get the hang of the pull and stretch.

  • For us it depends on the fabric and how much it shrinks I guess. I have some that fit great and I can cross over the wings and I have some that she has outgrown. IDK its weird.

  • My kiddo has a long rise so they were too short in the rise for her around 6 mo.

  • They stopped fitting DD around 9 or 10 months, but when she started walking they started fitting better again. Her shape must have changed due to her mobility.

I can still usually get it on her without the plumber's crack, which is good because the XL is still too big on her.

  • I have 2, and I'm not having too much trouble with plumber's crack, but the wings don't even touch at all. I am going to need hip snap covers soon if I want to keep using them. I don't care for the soaker style, though, so I may just give up on them. I can't seem to get the pull and stretch either.
