I am gonna be like "The Boy Who Cried Wolf"....
well at 31 weeks I went in for dehydration from food poisoning...
33 weeks went in from Preterm labor contractions that were 3-4mins apart...
now at 36 weeks yesterday morning I went in for MAJOR cramping from HELL!!!!!! OMG! I have never felt cramps like that in my entire life!!!! Apparently little spicy tacos I had the night before was making it's mark and wanted out...(everyone else who had the same dinner was fine)... 3am till 4:30am I was trying to deal with it by myself but by 4:30am I knew something was not right... or might hurt the baby... so I woke my DH up and he rushed me to L&D....
seriously thought that they could cut me open then and there with out any meds and it would have felt less painful then the cramps I had yesterday morning...
well they gave me some meds that helped with the cramping alot... monitored the baby and he/she was perfectly fine... just mommy was in lot of pain... little contractions which they delieved it was from dehydrations... so they sent us home after couple of hours and with a list of things I needed to hydrate myself and med for the pain...
poor DH... I must have worried him so much... I felt so bad... watch... next time I am having real contractions everyone's gonna be like "are you sure you just don't need to go to the bathroom? or had something spicy? or dehydrated?"
I feel like this pregnancy has been so smooth for past 8months that this baby wants to make sure that everyone is on their toes in this last month till he or she makes an apperance into this world!
Re: another trip to L&D...
awww, its hard at the end since you don't know what labor pains are supposed to feel like, but once they hit, you definitely know.
You've got just weeks left. Rest up before baby gets here. At least your hospital bag is packed & ready to go & your hubs knows his way around!
im right there with you.. i thought oh it hasn't been that horrible at all! and then turns out i had low amniotic fluid.. which has been a lingering thing since 2nd tri and i always just took care of it by drinking lots of water. and one weekend i decided that my test was good 11cm and that i can now walk around and do what ever i wanted.. by the following monday my fluid was down to 2cm... so i was admitted to the hospital the same day - with no hope of release until the baby is delivered or my fluid gets up significantly. So total bed rest in the hospital for an entire two weeks! of course baby was completely normal the entire time .. i think she really didnt notice that her bubble was shrinking..
now that im out of hotel hoag... - turns our im dialated 2cm and 80% effaced and shes at stage -1 , and i think i just saw some bloody show... ( i hope its just blood from the pelvic exam!) so more bed rest for me! at least im at home now.
