Gatlinburg recs

We're looking into taking a mini vacation in June/July to Gatlinburg.  I'm the only person in America who hasn't been there before, I think.  Does anyone have recommendations on where to stay, or websites to use to book places?  I think it'll just be us and the two babes.  I'd appreciate any help or tips you can offer!
