"I don't know who called this the terrible twos, I just love every age and stage."

 

 

Congrats to you. I think most mothers will admit that they dislike/hate one age or another. I personally despise the toddler stage...oh, well, I'm okay being imperfect.

Dude, I totally agree. I have things about each stage I like but there is a lot about each stage that drives me to drink!

Those kinds of statements TOTALLY annoy me.  One of my friends is childless by choice and she has said to me many times that she appreciates my take on motherhood because I don't try to act like it's all puppies & rainbows all the time.  I think that people who make statements like that must have some dirty little motherhood secret they're just not willing to 'fess up to.  Like they drink every day just to cope or something...

LOL.  Yeah I can't stand people who go on pretending everything is perfect.  Show some humility and admit you want to tear your hair out sometimes.

But I do love toddlers.  I hate being pregnant and I don't like babies.  But toddlers are just bursting with personality, I think they are so much fun.

I don't hate any particular age group. For me, it's a day to day to thing.  One day it's great, the next day I would love to run from the house screaming.  I'm not good at narrowing it down to the terrible two's and what not.

My guess - that person has grown kids and has completely forgotten what daily life with little ones is like or she just hasn't gotten to the stage that pushes her buttons yet. I love the toddler stage and would love to redo it if it meant I could skip some preschool tantrums. The 3s suck for me. Of course every stage has it's better or worse moments, but I think we are personally suited to some ages better than others.
