Long time lurker, first time poster ::be gentle::
DH and I are having a hard time agreeing on names. We have lately narrowed choices for each gender to 3 that we both are pretty comfortable with, and are now letting them sink in to see if any rise to the top or merit being replaced. We tend to like more "classic" and less "you-neek" names.
Any and all comments are invited, ideas for alternatives are welcome, and I apologize for not being able to make this clicky (not sure why Safari won't let this happen).
Last name starts with a "K" and rhymes with "Beretta". Choices are:
Samantha Anne (Anne is in honor of my grandmothers)
Catherine Anne
Caroline Anne

Here we go again...IVF 3 is underway!
I like Caroline the best. I love it, actually. I think it is really pretty and feminine.
Catherine has always seemed a little boring to me. I think paired with Anne it's particularly drab.
Samantha is ok. I think it's a little dated, and I hate the NN Sam.
But you can't go wrong with any of them. They're all classic and timeless (and spelled right!).
I like them all. In order of preference: Catherine, Caroline then Samantha

Samantha and Catherine are wonderful ! and both on our list!
Great choices
I like Catherine then Caroline. Samantha is NMS, but it's a good name. I will say I don't like Samantha with Anne so much because of the repeated 'ann' sound.
I don't think you can go wrong with any of them though.
7 anovulatory cycles, 1 cycle 50 mg clomid, 4 cycles 100mg clomid, HSG double blockage, hysteroscopy with cyst and debris removal, fermara/IUI attempt abandoned because of anovulation, follistim/IUI attempt coming soon!
Catherine is gorgeous. I've always loved this name, especially with a "C".
Samantha is just "meh". It just doesn't seem super pretty and maybe a bit dated.
Caroline is okay... never been a huge fan... maybe it's the nasal-sounding "ine" ending??
Anne is wonderful. I would totally use that as a first name.
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

Catherine wins my vote. You cannot pick a more beautiful and classic name that will withstand time and never go out of style. It lends itself to many pretty nicknames, too. Although it is always on the top 100, I rarely meet a little Catherine (I know of only one 6 year old Catherine. I have two little ones in daycare and there is not and has not been one single Catherine in either of their classes).
While I like Caroline, it does not sound as good with Anne and is becoming way too popular. There are several in my youngest's day care class and two Carolines born in 2011 on my street.
Samantha is a good name. Just not as timeless as Catherine.
