Peyton is the only decent spelling, in my opinion. Payton makes me think "pay a ton," like something is really expensive.

For the love of Pete, not Paighton or Peighton. OMG!
Payton (#79) or Peyton (#51)
This! Really? You would spell your child's name Peighton/Paighton?
Actually, I'm looking for the most common spelling. The last two would not have been options for us, but they are listed as options for spelling Payton so I figured I would list them on here.
I couldn't tell between the top two which one was more popular or if they were equal. I would like a name that won't be misspelled all of the time.
In which case, maybe we should go back to Ava.

I would say Peyton, however there is Peyton Manning (A male NFL player), but there is also Gary Payton (A retired NBA player). But I think its been more popular to spell it with an "E" for a girl, rather than using an "A".

Yes to Peyton.
Payton = Makes me think about paying a ton for something
Paighton/Peighton = IMHO these spellings are

THIS.
Payton is such an ugly sound to me.
My son's name is Peyton. I do not like this name for a girl. I do not like spelling it with an 'A' at all.
