My mother's day pout...

We always GTG with my folks on mother's day- the plan were this year they would come out to our house because Owen has a baseball game in the afternoon then the guys (mostly my Dad) would make an awseom dinner.

Well, my mum just called to say that they're not coming tomorrow. I'm bummed.  Having her here is my excuse to do nothing and have the guys do dinner. Now, it's just going to be like any other day. Grocery shopping, laundry ...blah blah blah.

Had I known this earlier today I would have gone shopping this morning and got all my stuff done- it was opening day for baseball (parade, pictures, fall soccer sign ups, football sign ups...) then we ran around getting flowers and stuff for the garden and my mum gift.

I fell like today is shot, I'm exhausted, I'm stabby and hungry.

...and now crying.

I'm sorry honey!  Why aren't they coming?

Can you do something nice for yourself instead?  Like go get a pedi in the morning and then after the baseball game, go out for dinner?!

Yeah, why aren't they coming? And I agree on doing something else for YOU tomorrow. Make DH watch the kids while you get a mani/pedi or do some shopping, even if it's just window shopping.

They are working in the restaurant tomorrow and she said she just want to stay at the lake house.

I get it. They're hosting Mother's day brunch. ...but the plans have been made for weeks. I'm just disappointed.

I'm stabby anyway and this is just adding to it.

I agree with Jodi!  You can salvage the day!  ((hugs)) I know how dissapointed you must be, though.

That stinks. I'm sorry.    If it's any consolation, any happiness that I was hoping for tomorrow is ruined.  I'm stabby too.

Want to meet me for a mani/pedi tomorrow?  Come hell or high water, I will be going out for my nails at some point.

Just FYI....Lea and I were totally planning on ditching our families and getting our toes done tomorrow afternoon.  We can make a big gtg out of it!
