anyone have itching???

OMG! i couldn't go to sleep last nite my toes and my whole foot was itching like you can't believe, it had happened once before but not to this extent.  my feet were only a bit swollen. If i had a brush near me i would have scratched with that. Is anyone have this problem?? i googled "itchy feet during pregnancy" and found cholestasis as a possible cause. anyone have this? how can i resolve this issue. i go to the dr. on monday.

I got diagnosed with Cholestasis this pregnancy.  My feet and hands itched so badly that I couldn't sleep and ended up scratching some of my skin off.  They just do a blood test, but it takes a week for the results.  I was put on a medication that helped the itch go away, it's wonderful.  Also I have to be induced at 37 weeks due to the risks.  

However they also tested me for pre-e and HELLP.  My bp is low/normal and I don't have any swelling at all so they were long shots for me but they can be a cause for funky liver levels.  Just go to your Dr. and they will run a battery of tests to make sure everything is okay.  In the meantime you can try Benadryl (doesn't help if it's cholestasis) but will help if it's something else.  I also heard of Sarno cream that helps a lot and I put my feet against a fan and that helped immensly.  Drink lots of water and try to rest.  GL.
