What does LO wear?

Yes, the dumbest question yet to hit the board.

I just started putting onesies over B's head because she hated it. I find I mostly put her in PJs all the time. Am I horrible? I have adorable clothes but they don't have "feet" in them all of the of the damn socks fall off. What's with all of my cute outfits needing socks?

What does your LO wear during the day or most of the time?

We just have her in snap top t-shirts and keep her wrapped in a blanket around her legs.

I thought about doing this and then putting her in her Halo.

Those darn Halos are a pain for diaper changes. I feel like LO is propped way too high when I move it behind her! LOL

  • If we're staying home it's sleepers. When we go out we crack out a cute outfit. And socks just don't happen - I've already lost 3 while out and about so I said screw it. And fyi, Aubrey has the biggest wardrobe known to man and she HATES being dressed no matter what.

  • At first LO was naked most of the time because she had jaundice and the dr wanted her to get lots of sunlight, then she just wore onsies because that's all she fit in.  I jut recenty started getting her "dressed" in her outfits for the day.  A lot of it had to do with the fact that she spits up on all of her outfits.  Her outfits consist of onsies and pants.  And yes, socks are a PITA.

  • We've been in the 90's all week, so DS has been wearing onies all by themselves.

When we go out, I've been putting him in shorts or pants.  I've found one style of socks that actually stay on because they have super tight elastic.  It helps that I have shoes that stay on too (velcro is amazing).

  • If we are just hanging out at home she wears sleepers or gowns. If we go anywhere, she wears an outfit. We really haven't had sock problems. She occasionally will kick one off, but she wears them on a regular basis.

I think those with sock success need to share brands. LO has GIANT feet and the socks still fall off!

  • Since DS was planned to be 9+ lbs I didn't buy many NB, but 0-3 is still too big on him at 1 1/2 weeks. So we've been rewearing the few NB clothes we have! We've only gone out to the Dr. a couple times and have put him in a little cotton pant/tee shirt or onesie set. Around the house though he's pretty much lived in sleep gowns with a sleep sack over them or onesies with a sleep sack and any stretchy pant/shirt sets with feet and mittens. I pretty much wish I had just bought nb footies with mittens and the sleep sacks. As a NB I don't think anything without feet and mittens is worth it. :)

For sure! DS has huge feet. All the nurses commented on them. :) They didn't fit inside the little box on the papers they do the footprints on lol.

  • Liam's just now wearing newborn clothes, so we have a bit more of a selection, but mostly rompers/sleepers/onesies and pants.

Before the newborn stuff fit him, one of my friends left a box of preemie clothes on our porch, and he was living in all of those clothes--sleep sacks and onesies. When he came home from the hospital, he was so teeny that newborn clothes were falling off of him, so I was super grateful for the box of used clothes.

  • I put her in something cute every day. Mostly for me, but  she gets mad when her feet get stuck and they have been in footie pj's  or sleeping gowns. So she wears them to bed with her swaddleme, but we change out after we get up and going.

During the day just a onesie and wrapped in a blanket. At night a gown because it's easy for diaper changes. If we go out I might put him in a onesie and pants or maybe something with feet. Socks on babies are pointless to me and I read that they shouldn't wear shoes.

  • LO has so many outfits that she wa given as gifts that I actually feel kind of guilty if I don't get her dressed. But it's warm enough here that she rarely wears socks. Only if we're inside with the AC on and she seems chilly.

  • We have so many newborn outfits for him.  We received so many clothes for our baby showers.  I am thankful for the pant sets we have thought.  They have feet built in them so we don't have to worry about socks. We try to put him in something different each day.  It is still kind of cold here so we haven't wore too many onsies yet.

  • She sleeps in foot pjs or sleep gowns. During the day, if we're staying home she wears more footie pjs. If we're going out or visitors are coming she wears a cute outfit, usually a top and bottom. I'm avoiding onesies for now bc her cord hasn't fallen off yet- but I can't wait till it does, she has so many cute outfits!! We have socks that stay on, I'll have to see if I can figure out the brand. :)

ditto this, except he stays in a onesie at night and gets wrapped in the Miracle Blanket. And his feet are too long and skinny to keep any socks on

but one question. Where are you all getting your footed sleepers? All I can find are snap-up ones without feet and I rarely put him in those because by the time I get them snapped up after a diaper change, it's time to take it off and start all over.

Ditto most of this.  He wears onesies or rompers (one-pieces with sleeves and pants but no feet) during the day, and footed jammies at night.  It's a special occasion if he wears pants.  We can't go anywhere really because he was a preemie and it's still RSV season, so no need for him to wear pants most of the time.

We got our footed pajamas from Carter's.  Old Navy had some cute ones awhile ago, too, but they don't seem to have any right now.  We have some from ON, but they're 0-3 month size.

  • I am trying to get her on a routine, so after her first morning nap (around 10/11ish) I get her dressed in a onesie and pants/shorts or in an cuter outfit depending on what we are doing for the day. When I start getting her ready for bed (around 9/10ish) I put her in footed pjs. No socks, its hasn't been too cold here to need socks, and they are a PITA.

  • Around the house, she's always in onesies or tshirts with socks and cotton mittens or PJs with feet and fold-over hands.

ETA: If she's wearing pjs, I always dig for the few that I have with zippers first. I hate snaps. Such a PITA!

THis totally! Why didn't someone give us this knowledge? I know it's common sense, but I never thought of it. LO was three days old and I ran to Target to buy out the Gerber pjs that zip!
