I love using cloth wipes but am having a heck of a time figuring out a good set up for them.
How do you ladies store them? I would love to store them wet (a few at a time) for easier use. I have seen people saying they use wipe warmers do you keep the sulution in there with the wipe?
Thank you so much for your help!!
Re: Cloth Wipes?
I keep mine dry and squirt on some water solution when needed. I keep them folded in a little bin (land of nod strapping storage shelf bin) with the squirt bottle (a peri spray bottle from the hospital after delivery -- yay reusing things!).
My girlfriend wets some and keeps them in a tupperware container on the dresser/changing table for use as needed.
One issue I've heard about with the warmers and other mass wet storage bins is mold. I have no personal knowledge of this though.
I have a set up like this, too, except I keep my wipe solution (water + a few drops of California Baby Super Sensitive baby wash) in an old Pampers wipes tub. So I dip in a dry wipe and wring it out as I go. Saves time in the long run, in case the water starts getting a little rank I just dump it and make fresh rather than having to launder all the wet rank wipes along with it.
This.
And for the love of god, do NOT do what my husband did!! He changed our son and came and told me that the cloth wipes "Didn't work" and that we needed to go get "real wipes" PRONTO. What did the man do? He sprayed Ryan's butt with the Dr B's solution!!!! Ryan peed everywhere!! Please instruct your DH to NOT spray directly on the baby butt! I'm laughing just remembering this, it was hilarious!
