I had a bad experience telling with my second pregnancy so I'm opting to not say anything until at the very earlies 15 weeks, but more than likely I will tell somewhere between 18-22 weeks. In the meantime I'm wearing my loosest shirts and I just went through my maternity clothes to dig out the maternity shirts that don't look like maternity shirts for when I need them to hide it a bit more. I try to sit down a lot and wear a big bulky sweater at work (it's cold in my lab) that I pull around me when I'm not sitting. And I work with men so they probably wouldn't notice anything anyway.

Re: Anyone else waiting to tell boss/work until well into second tri?
I'm going to wait as long as possible...hopefully another month or so. I'm covering my co-worker's position while she's out on maternity leave starting any day now and I know my boss is going to be like, oh great another one KU as soon as I tell her...so I'm choosing to wait a little while...
I'm waiting as long as possible! I'd love to make it to 20 weeks. We'll see what the belly does over the next few weeks!
ETA: Another woman in my dept. had her baby in early March, and said she was coming back. She JUST told our boss Monday she's not returning. I want to put some space between that news and my announcement, even though I'll definitely be back.

My boss knows, but I haven't told any of my co-workers yet.
I'm waiting for another few weeks. I like having the news as something that is special and private; I know once the office knows, it will be part of the daily conversation. Luckily, I have not started to show at all.
I was planning on telling my boss in the next week or two, but she recently moved to a different chief position. So as of yesterday I have a new chief that I report to and I do not know her very well. I'm pretty nervous about our first meeting--which is not even scheduled yet! I just don't want our first check-in/meeting to be about me being pregnant. I think it will affect the way she works with me...I do not want her wondering if I'll do a good job or if I'll be back after my leave.
