Update about surgery last week

 Well, I survived my thyroidectomy and now have a wicked looking scar on my neck- looks like I was in a slasher movie.  Was in the hospital 1 1/2 days and Jonah did fine at home with the bottles and my freezer stash.  

Feeling pretty good other than the scar hurting when yawning/sneezing.  My hormone replacement pills don't seem to be screwing me up too bad either.  And even better the cancer had not spread so I don't need the radiation treatment that would have had me stop breastfeeding and go away from my little guy for 10 days!  YAY!!!!!  AND the surgery made me lose my last 5 lbs of baby weight- now I'm back to pre-pregnancy weight, and can fit in most of my old jeans!   So there you go ladies- want a quick way to lose those last couple pounds?  Get yourself some cancer and have a surgery

Can I have the fitting-in-my-jeans WITHOUT getting a side of cancer? Cuz that'd be cool.

All joking aside, I'm very happy to hear everything went well and you can still breastfeed, that's just amazing. When is your next blood test to check cancer levels?
