picnic shelter rentals

so i'm starting to plan my daughter's first bday party, and i like the idea of doing it in a park with a picnic pavilion type of thing. has anyone done this/looked into it and have good info? i live in shelby twp, so stony creek is a natural choice, but it's $150 for the rental, and we're not planning anything too elaborate, maybe 30-40 people? basically i'd like to know good parks, inexpensive places to rent, or recommendations for a group that size.

How many miles from Shelby Twp are you willing to go? There is Memorial Park off Jefferson in St Clair Shores. I am not sure what they charge but its worth a phone call to check. There might be an additional charge for not being a SCS resident.

River Bends has a few shelters, although the price isn't that much different from Stoney.  Within River Bends is Woodall Neighborhood Park.  It has a small shelter that is free to use, but there's no reservations.  It's a little risky, but if you had someone go out there first thing in the morning, you'd probably be ok
