We told our Parents right away but didnt tell everyone else til 16 weeks I was nervous people would know but I still wasnt showing when we told people. I was still wearing my size 10 shorts at my 18 week anatomy scan.
The twins were my second pregnancy and I did start to show a little earlier than I did with my singleton, but I still wasn't showing until around 17 weeks. And even then I could still wear my size 4 jeans.
I was starting to look a little bloated around 13/14 weeks, but it wasn't obvious to strangers until closer to 17 weeks. Even though I measured a little ahead from 24+ weeks, most of the time people couldn't even tell I was having twins. I made the transition into maternity clothes around 22 weeks.
I've only ever been pregnant with twins so I have nothing to compare it to, but I "popped" at 11 weeks 2 days. Literally I went from bloat to bump overnight.
I could still hide it with clothes until 14 weeks though.
This is my second pregnancy, and I popped at around 10 weeks. The bloat made it obvious to my family as early as about 7 weeks. There was no hiding this pregnancy from them.
I got my first public "when is the baby due?" question between 10 and 11 weeks. I am pretty pregnant looking right now at nearly 14 weeks. Seems like everybody is noticing/asking when I go in public.
With my first pregnancy (single), I started showing at around 16 weeks. I got VERY big with that pregnancy, so I suspect I carry more out/forward than others. I can't wait to see my belly with this pregnancy! Yikes!
With my singleton I "popped" around 23/24 weeks. With the twins I "popped" around 16w. Keep in mind that it was a 2nd pg and 2nd pregnancies show sooner anyway.
I'm not showing really, but try as I might, I could not get my regular work pants to button this morning. I'll have to make the switch to maternity pants soon.
This is my fourth pregnancy... and I always tend to pop really quickly... and get really large...really fast... So when I was sporting quite a bump at 9 weeks I didnt think anything of it, just figured -sure... it is a LITTLE earlier than usual, but attributed it to it being a fourth pregnancy- NEVER did I suspect twins!
I just looked through my pictures and I started taking belly shots around 16-17 weeks. At that point I was still mostly in my own clothes - maybe one maternity dress and some maternity shorts just because it was more comfortable.
I was 13 weeks when I told work and they had no clue.
This if my first pg. I don't really have a bump yet, but I'm having trouble fitting in to my jeans. My husband and I read Dr. Luke's book and she had a chart that said with twins you should gain 10 lbs by week 10. Since we didn't even find out we were having twins until 6w, there was no way I could gain 10 lbs in 4 weeks. But thanks to my husband's prodding, I have gained 5 lbs, mostly in my stomach, hips, and thighs--hence the tight pants. I'm looking forward to having a real bump so that I can actually feel pregnant instead of just feeling fat.
Yes. From the minute I found out I was pg I was bloated to the point that I had to be careful what I wore around people that really knew me since we were trying to keep it a secret for a little while. I was obviously pregnant to strangers at 12 weeks and now at 16 weeks, I'm huge. This is, however, my 4th pregnancy so that makes a big difference.
At around 8 or 9 weeks I started getting really bloated, to the point my regular clothes were uncomfortable (but still wearable).
This week I transisitioned into some maternity clothes and I'm still wearing some regular clothes with a BellaBand. The maternity clothes are a little big on me, but so much more comfortable that I don't mind.
With twins, when did you start showing and/or growing out of your regular clothes? Earlier than being pregnant with just one? Thanks!
Nope not at all. Started showing around 16w, just like any other pregnant woman with 1. At 8 weeks, it's probably just bloat and hormones. Even 2 embryos are less than 20mm each, so that's really not going to push out your stomach. Some women just get really bloated and show earlier than others.
Honestly, even skinny women who aren't pregnant, sometimes have a bit of a tummy and their abdomen pokes out a bit, that makes them look 2-3 months pg.
I started getting a round little belly at about 7-8 weeks. I was in maternity jeans at 9-10 weeks. I think I really popped around 15 weeks. Started getting stranger comments at about 16 weeks. At 17-18 weeks everyone including my patients at work can see and comment on my bump even under loose fitting scrubs.

I bloated right away and couldn't wear my regular pants at 11 weeks, but I wasn't really "showing" until closer to 20 weeks.
This is my first pregnancy, so no comparison to a singleton.
