If it wasn't my birthday, probably not...but there is something sentimental about my bday falling on mother's day this year and being pregnant. My H said my MIL had bought be a mother's day gift.
Yes, but mainly because other people are acting like it is. I know my husband is getting me a gift and I know my Mom is sending me flowers. All unnecessary, but very sweet.
I put "I don't know." I guess I don't really consider it to be my first Mother's Day, though I wouldn't mind if DH did a little something since it's been a rough ride thus far.
BFP#1 1/31/11 ~ CK came on her due date, 10/10/11!
BFP#2 11/20/12, EDD 7/30/13 ~ heard heartbeat at 6w2d ~ mmc discovered at 8w
I know that my Mom and sisters will probably call or do something small, but DH is still very raw from losing him Mom in March so I think its best if we just pretend that Sunday is just a normal day.
Happy b-day OUKap!!! It's my b-day too on mother's day!!! Looks like I'm due after you tho, since I'm just over 17 weeks. I'll be celebrating more for my b-day than mother's day, but I'm sure my family will combine the two and maybe give me gifts for the baby since that's what I had requested.
Yes, but I don't expect anyone to do anything for me. My mom sent me a card and my cousin is taking me to brunch, but I wouldn't be upset if they didn't. I don't think DH is going to do anything and that's okay with me.
It is my first because my son was born hours after Mother's Day last year!
Last year on Mother's Day I was having contractions all day (had been for 2 weeks) and spent the day getting a pedicure and relaxing with DH and my parents. But I did not consider it my first Mother's Day.
No. And I really hope no one does anything for me at my MIL's brunch.
I'm no more a mom this year than I was last year, when I was sad about losing my first pregnancy. If having previously been pregnant didn't make me a mom then, being pregnant doesn't make me a mom now.
I'm cool with waiting until next year for any celebrations.
(And my DH feels the same way about father's day, though I might still get him a "You're going to be a great dad" card. But no gift).
BFP #1 10/17/09: missed m/c at 7 weeks; BFP #2 10/22/10: chemical pregnancy; BFP #3: 1/28/11

Nope, this is my second.
When I was pregnant with my first however, I did not consider it my first Mother's Day.
