Beware of Nair...

I bought Nair to use on my bikini area, since I can't see to shave anymore, and apparently some got to where it wasn't supposed to and I'm suffering from painful irritation/burns on my lady bits. Use a mirror or have help if you do this!!

  • Doesn't it say right on the package that you aren't supposed to use it on your bikini area?

  • Nope I bought the kind that you CAN use on the bikini area, it's not for the face or chest area, just underarms, bikini area and legs.

  • I used nair once when I was 16 & convinced my brother to try it on his legs also (haha he was 19), we both had the worst burns ever afterwards. I will never use nair again!

  • my friend that just had her baby a couple days ago, naired a few weeks ago. We were laughing cause she apparently forgot to lift her stomach and had a hair line that she missed!

I did not know they made this. I've been considering trying it, but I tried Veet a few times in high school and it didn't work. Aside from making the bathroom smell awful, anyway.

Besides getting it where I shouldn't have (I probably did it cleaning the bathroom instead of sitting still and letting it work) it did a GREAT job.

When I was in high school, I used Nair for Men on my arms and didn't realize how much stronger it was than regular Nair; I left it on too long, thinking it'd remove more hair that way, and it melted the top layers of skin right off my arms. I had 2nd degree chemical burns, it was pretty bad. I still occasionally use it on my legs but now I don't ever leave it on for as long as they say to!
