Speaking of footed pj's

What exactly is the cut off age for theese?  My dd hasn't worn them since she was around 1 year, but that is because she is a hot plate like her father.  I think she would set me on fire with one look if i even tried to put them on her now that she is older.

I ask because I also saw the ones at Target and thought "what kid is going to wear those??"

Re: Speaking of footed pj's

  • DS wears them every night. He kicks off any covers, so even in the a/c he wears footies.

He's in 3T now, and I have a stash of 4T for next year.

  • Dd's almost 2, in size 3T and still wears them nightly. She kicks off the covers and her feet are like ice cubes without them.

  • I prefer them for my kids. We keep our house very cold, summer and winter. Footed are easiest because they're one piece and cover his feet. If I put socks on him, we have a lot of tile and he slips and falls in the morning before getting dressed. I don't have to worry about the shirt riding up, or the pants riding up and him getting cold. He's still not very good about keeping the blanket on, even if he's cold.
  • My 4 year old loves them!  I don't know why but she just thinks they are the best things ever.  I haven't bought her any for this winter yet but I probably will buy a pair or two for really cold nights.
  • My girls wore them until they were night time potty trained. ?

  • If we continue to live in the house we do, L will be wearing them for a very long time and can stay under a blanket. ?We have a very, very cold house.

I was thinking about buying MH a pair of the huge footed pajamas. ?He is constantly saying that he wishes he had a pair and wants to know why L gets all the cool clothes. ??

  • P wears them every night. He has to have something on his feet, since he does not keep his blanket on all night long. At night we keep our heat at 65 in the winter and the air at 68 in the summer, so it gets a little chilly (but makes for great sleeping).
  • I don't think my child has ever had cold feet...no kidding!  I get her up in the morning and she is steamy.  She's very hot blooded.  We keep our house cold, because of her and dh.  I am normally walking aroung like a popsicle, but they could not care less.

  • Haha, I searched high and low one Christmas to find a pair that would fit my 17 year old brother.  He wanted a pair so badly, I finally found some and he loved them!  He's goofy like that though!

  • I just ordered 3ts for DD.  She won't keep socks on and tosses & turns all night & kicks the blankets off.  I live in MI in a big old drafty house.  I'd wear them if I could.
  • My DS wears them and he probably will wear them until he's fully potty trained. He doesn't sleep with a blanket on him.

  • DD wears footed pjs.  She will not keep a blanket on her.  In fact, she throws a fit if I try to cover her up.  She's a 3T now but almost ready for a 4T.  I don't know what the cut off age is.  For us it will be whenever DD learns to keep a blanket on.  :)

  • DD is almost 3 and she still wears them. For some reason, her room is the coldest room in the house. She doesn't keep her covers on either so this is the best option for us.
  • Both of my girls wear them.  Neither has blankets yet and fall / winter in CT can get cold at night.  They also both have long sleeved onesies on under them too.  I am always cold and while my girls may not have that trait, I think they sleep better when they are cozy warm.
  • My dd wears them every night. In fact, she refuses to wear pjs without feet. I think she would wear them to school if I let her.
