Boudoir Photos

So I am 3 years late to this game, but I am getting some taken for mine and DW's 3rd wedding anniversary. Did any of you do this? Any thoughts on it? Did you put the photos in a book, or did you get just one printed?

Any advice really.

Re: Boudoir Photos

  • Melanie and I are professional photographers. We love Boudoir photos.  You can put them in a book or hang them in your bedroom.  Most of our clients hang some in their bedroom or master bath.

I will say with Boudoir pics  they can be classy and or raunchy and even campy .. It all depends on what the vision is.  It all depends on your photographer etc...

If you are going to do more pin-up style  then I say hang it - but We love that burlesque, pin up feel  and actually have a pin up painting in our dining/kitchen area

    Hope that helps

  • We concluded that they were not really our style, but I've seen and read a lot of good things about them on the internet!  I think you really need to find a way to make whatever you end up doing be about you and your relationship and what you guys find sexy yet appropriate for what you're going to do with them.  If you're excited about them you should definitely go for it.  I can't imagine putting b-pics on our walls, but I guess that's part of why they're not really our style.  I think a photobook (lots of places do them for cheap, I don't think they judge you on the content but I'm not sure...) would be the best way to give them as a gift.

  • A very good friend of mine is a wonderful professional photographer and she will be taking the photos, so I am definitly comfortable with her. I am thinking more burlesque/pin-up girl style. Any suggestions on what to wear for that sort of style?

We both have so many body issues, that I can't imagine us ever doing it. That being said, I've seen some that friends have done that look great!
