for mother's day!

MH asked what i wanted for my bday which is around mother's day. i want 2 separate things. hahah

so i'm thinking, i would like a card and 10 hours of uninterrupted sleep. and perhaps a clean house and clean laundry.

i think i'll score 1 out of 4.  

ETA: i think i also want to shower and eat without rushing or carrying D at the same time. so i guess i'll score 1 out of 6. my odds are decreasing. hahah

I asked for him to watch DS while I go get my hair done (which usu takes a couple hours).  I haven't had my hair done in almost 3 years (cut/highlights/blown out) and I got sick of my very long hair on Sunday and put it in 2 pony taiils and chopped it off.  looks of for now, but I really want a real style (right now it's all one length and it was before I chopped) and the color.

I know I got a card though too.

MH knows I need a new phone (it has only worked on speaker-phone mode for the past month....annoying!), so he told me were going to brunch, then the Apple Store to get a new one on Saturday (he works on Sunday) for Mother's Day.....yay!

Otherwise, all I want is to sleep past 6am!

MH asked a while back what I wanted, i told him I wanted to STTN - 8 hrs, uninterrupted.  he asked me again a few weeks later, and I was like, "i was serious!"  we joked that might mean I get to spend a night at a hotel by myself, heh.  but that's kinda lonely, so I don't think I'll do that.  but - I do expect him to get up and give E a bottle one night - he has *never* done it before!  I always figured, I'd have to get up and pump anyway, so I never saw the point. since we're down to 1 feeding a night now, I think the time has come!

For Christmas, my birthday and Mother's Day I've asked for the same thing: to sleep in. I didn't get it for Christmas or my birthday ("What's the point? You'll just wake up at your regular time anyway?" - WTF, man, I can TRY can't I???) so I think the odds are slim of getting it on Mother's Day...

I think it's kind of funny that we all just really want sleep!

I'd love to sleep in but I know that won't happen....my body won't let me do it even if I wanted:( Instead, we are headed to Kona to spend a few nights...probably spending too much $$ but oh well, we had free miles, good deal on the hotel, car was cheap.

We do getaways too. This Mother's Day, we'll be taking our first trip with LO. I think I'll get a lot of downtime while we're away, so I'll count that as my gift. And DH will be there with two extra hands 24/7 which is a treat. Plus we'll make lots of happy memories, which will be the best gift of all. ('Cause I also know that 8-10 hours of uninterrupted sleep just will not happen. So why even bother?)

This is me, too.  On the very rare occasions that MH gets up with him in the morning, I end up getting up anyway.  I just can't sleep late anymore!

We are having a crawfish boil at our house and inviting our moms.  I love freshly boiled seafood so it was my request.

I can't complain much about sleep since DH does the night duty :-).  DH has not asked me what I want for mother's day. i am not saying anything either. i want to see what he'll come up with on his own. his father's day gift will depend upon how he does for mother's day lol.
