We have thrown around the name Berkeley Jean (Jean is my mother's middle name). What are your thoughts? Other middle name ideas? Our DS's name is Clayton Thomas.

Not a fan of Berkeley. It doesn't sound feminine to me at all, plus, having lived there, I can't really imagine it as anything other than the town, about which I have very mixed feelings.

I like it! But I also knew a girl named Berkeley who very very smart, outgoing, and an all around a great person. If you and YH really like the name go with it!
I kind of like it. Especially if you had a personal connection (i.e. went to school there, lived there, etc.). I think that it could really work for a girl with a certain kind of personality (which, of course, you won't be able to foretell). Confident, smart, stylish, maybe a little tomboyish. That's what I think of, anyway.
But, just so you know, it's also pretty popular as a dog's name. (Like teachers develop name aversions, veterinarians do, too!)

Sounds a little too trendy for me. While I don't hate it, I think a lot of folks will think it's obnoxious.

She sounds like a ditz.
There was a character on Brothers & Sisters a few weeks back named Berkeley, and she was the stereotypical dumb blonde.

This is even worse and it is pretty bad to begin with.

This one's going to be really divisive.
