2nd Trimester

Is this 'quickening'?

So yesterday I had about 6 or 7 times where on one side of my uterus I felt a tiny little twitch/vibration. It lasted only about 1 second each time. This is my first pregnancy and i'm wondering if this was a muscle spasm, or the quickening feeling of a fluttering baby??

Thanks in advance :)

  • I started feeling things around 14 weeks myself. Probably baby! For me it felt like fish swimming or bubbles popping.

  • I've felt both babies starting at 13 weeks, so it's possible. I had to be laying perfectly still and in the exact right position to feel it, but it was definitely baby. It's REALLY early, but possible.

Personally, I'm always shocked when people say they didn't feel kicks until 18-20 weeks, but I'm sure those folks think I'm nuts when I say I felt it early so.... Everyone is different. :)

  • I'm not sure but it sounds more like muscle twitching. I get that sometimes still. For me it feels more like a fish flopping inside of you.

  • Yep. That's your baby. Those are the same sort of things that I felt; the spasms and twitching.

This for me too!  I felt LO1 around 14 weeks I think - and this LO around 12-13 weeks.

I know!  I felt both babies by 14 weeks, and I just felt this one a few minutes ago for the first time!  My sis felt her first 2 around 14-15 weeks, but didn't feel her 3rd until 20 weeks!  Everyone IS soooo different!
