Max is 5 weeks and is so LOUD w/ his grunting. Its usually just after he nurses in the middle of the night. I'm not sure if its gas or just how he sleeps. I know newborns are noisy sleepers. I did read that sometimes lots of grunting can be a sign of reflux, but I don't know how accurate that is. He doesn't really spit up. I did elevate his mattress just in case, but that hasn't really made a difference.
Re: Newborn Question
my read shelf:
DS grunted, groaned, farted, burped, snuffled, etc. Whoever said "sleeping like a baby" meant quietly was sadly mistaken. Babies are NOISY.
I don't think any newborn sleeps "soundly".
