I went with some friends with kids all under 2 several months ago and we had a lot of fun. The dinos can be scary though... but if thats what Ben wants to see, and he wont be scared, then definitely take them!
It is fun. There is a H2O exhibit like at Everett. Bring extra clothes. There is also the butterfly house which is really cool too. I still like the Everett Children's Museum better but a once and awhile Pacific Science Center is fun. Plus you can bum around Seattle Center.
The dino's can be scary but both my kids do fine in there.

The dinosaur part is pretty cool. There are 8 or 10 animatronic ones. The dinos are up high, though, so you might end up picking him up a lot to see them. There are lots of other cool things throughout the museum that he might like, too, depending on his interests and attention span. I haven't been through the whole thing in a while, but last time i was, there were activities involving bubbles, water play, naked mole rats, outer space, etc. There's also the bug and butterfly area (w/butterfly house, as you probably know), which is really cool (and they're down low, so he'll be able to get a good look).

I think it would be hard to get bored there at any age! It's huge and has lots of different things to do! I know for a while the first Friday (I think Friday) of every month the first 1000 people get in free! You'd want to make sure they are still doing this, but that would be a good time to check it out! I think they open at 9:30, so you don't have to get there super early either!

We haven't been to the Pacific Science Center, but Woodland Park Zoo has a new Dinosaur exhibit that's really cool. DD is just under 2 and she loved it!

We took Lucy to PSC about 2 months ago and she LOVED it. She had such a blast, wasn't scared of the dino's at all. She loved the butterfly house and the kids play area the best.
And, Woodland Park Zoo just opened their new dino exhibit this past weekend. We haven't been yet, but it looks like it could be cool.

Katie and I went last week and the boys loved the toddler area, but the dinosaurs scared the frack out of Collin. I think he needs therapy now. That being said, there is plenty to do and look at, and we enjoy going. We'll just, uh, stay away from that exhibit next time.
My roomie from WSU is a teacher there and she says that she sees kids freaking out/crying/in hysterics over the dinosaurs at least once a day. Good times.
We took M about 1 1/2 yrs ago, he was scared but liked them. He keeps talking about them, but when we were there wasn't too sure. I think the exhibit they just opened at the zoo sounds better, especially if you can go before schools are out on break.
He did enjoy the other exhibits at PSC, there is so much to see besides the dinos.

Being that I am Katie of this duo, I concur with everything Jenn said. Max loved the Dinosaurs, but Collin HATED them. Poor little man was so freaked out, he didn't know what to do with himself. Unfortunately, this is the reaction that a lot of kiddos have. Ben will love them tough.

I told Ben that some kids are scared of the dinos but that they're fake and just big. He said "I'm not scared of anything!". Dinos it is.
Cooper though - we'll see how he does.
