Bedtime

What is bedtime for your LO?  Mine seems to have a meltdown around 11pm every night.  I'm trying to figure out how to prevent this.  He is just waking up from his last nap so I'm going to try to keep him up till about 7-8 after he eats and has some play time then put him down to bed.  I'm hoping this will help prevent the meltdown.  It doesn't seem to make much difference what time I put him down  if its any later.

Re: Bedtime

  • My LO doesn't go down till 10:30-11 ish.  No matter what I try she will not go to sleep until then.  She is wide awake all night since her last nap at like 6 or 7 ish.  She wants to eat basically non-stop from 7 till 11 with only tiny cat naps in between.  She finally goes down at 10:30 ish and sleeps till 4 am then we're up for an hour then sleeps till 8 am typically.  It's not ideal, but it works for us.

  • I rarely get my DS to bed before 10pm.  I will probably try to move that up a little though when I go back to work later this month.

  • We have bedtime issues too. My LO eats at about 8 and can then sleep until 10-10:30 and will eat again and be wide awake until midnight no matter what. Even if we try to keep her up with a bath, etc after the 8:00 feeding, she'll keep the rest of the schedule the same and just forgo the nap! She's then up at 3 and 6 and up for the rest of the day... I'm dying to get more than 5 hours of sleep a day! I'm hoping someone has ideas...

  • We try to feed DD around 8 or 9 and then she plays/ cat naps until around 11. I feed her as close to 11 as I can and she falls to sleep soon after. She sleeps until 6 or 7 and then eats again. I leave for work at 7:45 and she is usually back asleep when I leave. It has worked out really well for us.
