I have been using disposables since H was born because she was so tiny. She finally fits into gDiapers so she wore gCloths yesterday and has diaper rash for the first time now. I changed her more often than I normally do when she was in the cloth so I don't think it was due to her being wet too long. Is there something I was supposed to do differently? I really want to use cloth all the time, but I don't want her to get diaper rash.
Also curious, can/should I use baby powder with cloth diapers? I've never put it on her before, but didn't know if I could/should now.

Re: Diaper rash from cloth?
As a general rule pedi's do not recommend baby powder whether using sposies or CDing.
What detergent are you using and what was your wash routine when you prepped? Most often when it is not an issue of being wet it can be a detergent sensitivity. Sometimes it could be that you need to switch detergents to something more baby friendly and sometimes you just have residual detergent in your diapers that needs to be rinsed out more thoroughly.
I'm not familiar with G diapers though - do they have a stay dry layer of microfleece or suedecloth that goes against baby's skin? If not, that could be causing an issue of wetness against the skin even if you are changing regularly. Some kiddos just have to have a stay dry layer.
