Had my post op appointment today. I had to go to a different office because my dr wasn't in the office I usually go to and I only wanted to see her. Of course they were running behind. I thought I was good when I first got there, until shortly after I sat down there was a teen mom who came in and decided to sit next to me with her mom and complain about her baby daddy. Then a new mom sat next to her and they both talked baby talk. Luckily I was finally brought to the back. My dr checked my incisions and everything looks good and she took me off pelvic rest.
I also didn't realize how lucky I really am, the dr said if the hospital OB didn't push for me to be admitted I could've died. When they opened me up there was a lot of blood and my dr was annoyed that the three techs who did my ultrasound didn't catch the ruptured tube even though they checked me with both the internal and abdominal ultrasound and had me on the table for a long time. Good thing the head of radiology checked over the ultrasound pictures in the morning and caught the ectopic. She wished us lots of luck with our adoption journey and also said she hopes one day she is delivering our healthy baby ( this dr has been with us since we lost our twins and she delivered them).

First of all I am so glad you are ok.
Now I am of the opinion that hospitals in general just SUCK on diagnosing ectopics. When I had mine the hospital did not diagnose it, even though they did several u/s to find out what is going on. Then when we went into the RE they found it and diagnosed it. And the RE was pissed at the ineptitude of the hospital.
I am so glad you have a great OB, though. Hugs and love to you Butterfly!
