I'm just a lurker but I take it as 2 kids under 2 years apart. Most of the posts I read are for people who are currently expecting (that have questions/want advice) their 2nd, or a new at the 2u2 scenario.
Two under two is a term used for those with two children, both under two years of age. For example, my DS will be 21 months when DS number two is born making them two under two. There's also some two under one and some who are just outside the two under two mark.
Mine are 17 months apart and I certainly don't call them "2 under 2" anymore.
But I do come here to post because I've "been there, done that" and might be able to help someone out.
Now I refer to them as "17 months apart" when asked and soon I'm sure I'll refer to it as "one year apart in school" as that becomes more the framework of sibling spacing as they get older.
Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
I vote for two kids under two years apart. Otherwise, the 2 under the age of 2 meaning would be ridiculously short lived for many of us(with respect to this message board anyway). I don't use this term IRL though...
To me, it means two kids under the age of 2 y/o. I cant imagine, for example, having a 5 and a 4 year old and still finding these topics applicable or helpful to their everyday lives....But I can see why some poster whose children are older to chose to stay and give guidance to those new moms that are clueless (like me!)
2u2 = 2 under the age of 2. In regards to this board, I believe once you are a 2u2, you''re always a 2u2. I don't refer to my kids as 2u2 but the struggles and uniqueness of parenting 2 kids less than 2 years apart doesn't change when the oldest hits their 2nd birthday.

When my DS is over 2, I'll probably refer to my kids as less than 13 months apart as opposed to 2u2.
Yep, this is what I've always thought too.
