What time do you take your shots?

Hi Ladies,

I don't take Lupron. Instead, I take Ganirelix for 4 days before AF arrives. I was so excitd to start cycling that I woke up and took my ganireliz at 545 am, but I just recalled that my RE said to take the stims in the pm.  Do you take your Lupron at the same time that you take your stims?

TIA!

  • 9:30 pm. I work late most days and this is a convenient time for me. I think between 4 and 11 pm was the window I was given.

  • I wasn't given a specific time or time window by my RE, just told either AM or PM, depending on the shot and the IVF cycle.  I tried to pick a time that was conveinent for me to do the shots at the same time each day, although sometimes I was off by 30-45 minutes, and that didn't seem to be a big deal.  Good luck!

  • I did all of them at 7:30 pm

  • I was given instructions to do certain injections between 6-8am and others between 6-8pm.  I usually try to get them in around 7:30.

With my long lupron cycle in the fall, I was taking lupron and menopur in the morning and follistim at night.  The nurse said they do it this way so they can alter the nightly stim dose based on your b/w earlier that day.  This time, I'll be taking follistim in the morning and at night.  I know every clinic is different.  I'd just make sure your RE knows when you're taking your meds so it doesn't skew their calculations.

    Good luck!!!

  • I was given specific ranges

so for lupron and lovenox it was a am shot after breakfast (around 7:30am) and for stims, PIO, etc.  it was a PM shot that I did every night around 10pm
