I have a date for a scheduled repeat c/s for next week, but there is a BUT. I have stopped early labor twice for being too early and the last time there was no change to my cervix after days of contractions consistently 3-5 mins apart and strong. I've been having contractions for days. They hurt, bad, but they're not doing anything to my cervix. Same problem I had with my son.

Since i'm early we're going to wait until next Monday to see if my cervix has done anything or if anything happens before then. If it is favorable he will do a foley bulb or break my water to at least try a vbac before jumping to the scheduled c/s. If not, i'm scheduled for Wed. Baby is tolerating well but I have to say that i've been in so much pain i'm relieved to have an end date in sight. Doc also said there may be some scar tissue on my cervix which may be causing dilation issues.

I'm hoping things will happen naturally before then, but I know it's still early. I wish the contractions would just stop or DO something, but I had them with my son for days on end with little/no progress. We shall see. I'm holding out hope at least.

I feel for you! I also hope your contractions turn into the real deal, baby is healthy and you get a birth you feel content with. Hang in there, I'm sure it hasn't been easy the last few days!

Praying things speed up and start working on that cervix! I too had days of labor before things started to thin out and dilate my cervix. I finally caved and went for accupuncture, and it absolutely helped get things going within 48 hours. And I was also taking 3 EPO capsules daily to help prep my cervix. Here's hoping you get the birth you want! GL and (((HUGS))). Hang in there!
