How long before the trigger shot wears off?

Just wondering if anyone knows about how long the trigger shot stays in your system...and when can I trust a BFP? This is my first go-round with this so anything helps thanks!

Hey there!  Everyone metabolizes the trigger shot differently so you'll probably get different answers.  I took 10000 units of novarel last cycle and the shot was still in my system at 12 dpo (13 dp trigger).  Of course, you'll get girls that had it out of their systems by 8 dpo.

I think most doctors will tell you to test at 14 dpo to get an accurate result.

Thanks, that really helps. I have posted this before, but I like tangible evidence in front of me for inspiration...so I took a test after my trigger shot just to show myself that I have the ability to have a positive test. I know its a fake, but I can look at the test and know that its positive because of my body, so its kind of encouragement.

I hate to POAS, it gives me anxiety.  I always wait 14 days, that way I know the answer is true w/o meds in my system.

I asked this question to my RE today. She said the trigger only stays in your system about 10 days tops. She advised me to test at 14 dpiui but said I can at 12dpiui if I want. They have seen too many people test at 12dpiui and get a negative then 2 days later get a positive. So its totally up to you. I think I will test at 12 dpiui. (May 15)

I'm totally doing this. Who knows if it'll be the only positive I ever see.
