Anyone know if there are pooper scooper laws that apply to horse owners??? There is often horse crap on the public walking path on the main road by my house and I'm sick of it.
There should be, but I don't know if horse owners know that their animals have gone number two on a path. It's kind of hard to see them do their business when you are facing forward and seated on top of the animal. It's not like walking a dog, where you are always stationed at their rear-view!
ETA: Some horses poop while they walk. They don't make a big production of finding the perfect spot, circling it a few times, and then dropping the deuce.

Yeah I know but still just because you dOnt see it shouldn't mean it's ok to leave a big pile of crap where I want to push my stroller. They need horse diapers.
They actually do have collection buckets that sit under the horses tail. If you are not going to pay attention to your horses drippings, you can at least strap one of those babies on them! They are called "Bun-bags."

I was just about to say that these are used for many parades.

I wish I could figure out where this poop is coming from and tell them that they need to get this! It's so gross. I would like to know if there are any laws about it too. It just doesn't seem right that you should get to leave horse poop out wherever it falls!
Are there signs that say horses are allowed on the trail? If there are, I dont think there is anything that says it cant be there. If its on a regular paved trail you arent supposed to leave it.
You should bring a bag and pick some up- its great fertilizer for gardens Its just hay and grass.

It's basically the sidewalk for the main road by our house. Instead of putting in concrete sidewalks, they put in a gravel path along the roadside. There are no signs that say anything about horses.
