tell me about your e-reader

I am thinking of getting an e-reader but don't know much about them.  I just read an article that was comparing some of them... and seems like the nook color provides reading abilities plus some extras... what are some of the extras?  Are they worth the higher price?  nook vs. kindle?  what do you think?!

I have a regular nook. I love it! I picked the nook over the kindle bc I can get library books on it. I know the kindle is working on the technology to get library downloads soon though but I wanted that ability right away.

I have the Kindle. I did a lot of research before getting it and found that I don't think you can go wrong when it comes to choosing between the Kindle and Nook.

It seems that people who have a nook love their nook and people who have a kindle love their kindle.

If color is a big deal for you, go with the nook. It wasn't a selling point for me since I like my magazines and picture books in paper format.

This exactly!! Plus... it has the "LendMe" feature so you can share books with people.  The Nook opens a wider variety of files.  With Kindle, I felt I would be trapped to certain books only.  But... I'm sure like PP said, you really can't go wrong between the two.  It's just personal preference.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my nook color.

DH got it for me for christmas. i had made an off hand comment about wanting an ereader.

I read so much more now and it is ALWAYS in my purse.

my one tip would be to buy accesories on ebay since they are way cheaper.

Ditto this. I'm reading my first nook book now, and I like it a lot. My only issue is that I sometimes forget to tell it to sleep, so I run down the battery faster than I should.

This is me, too, except I just got it last week. It has quickly become my new favorite thing.
