and thought "oh, if that were only me". Think again. Her job now is to have babies, preferrably boys and as soon as possible, and the whole world is watching. Can you imagine the pressure? No thanks.

Re: If you watched the royal wedding...
After 5.5 years of loss, heartbreak, and empty arms, our dreams were fulfilled through the beautiful, selfless gift of adoption. We are amazingly blessed!

Well, isn't that why the Church of England broke away from the Catholic church? So that they could divorce and find fertile partners to pass down the bloodline?
I just posted about this in the thread on IF. Yes, it makes me really sad. I have a hard time reconciling my fascination about the royal wedding with the fact that the institution is basically in place to produce heirs. I'm sure she was tested, although even then it's not a guarantee (ask those with unexplained IF). Also, what if HE had a problem - has he been tested?
But anyone who hasn't gone through IF is still naive and innocent to the problems that can arise. She's probably thinking (like most brides do) that she will be able to have children. Unless she has trouble, which I doubt, I don't think she will consider it a burden.
To be fair I did read that the government was open to possibly changing the rules from first born male child to just first born child. Who knows if that will happen.
Either way the notion of things passing down in this way is really off-putting given what I know now.
