growth spurts and sleeping

My LO just had a big growth spurt this week, and yesterday all he wanted to do was sleep all day long.  I even had to wake him up to eat which is opposite of what we had been experiencing all week. 

Is it normal for them to want to sleep a lot after a growth spurt?

    My DS has been doing much of the same this week. When he is awake, he has been grumpy and hungry. I have noticed that he has been napping a lot, usually after each feeding. This morning was the first morning he woke up happy and smiley. I am hoping his spurt is about over!

    totally normal, I read in my book- baby wise- they will wanna eat more frequently followed by lots of sleep- my baby is on the sleep day- much easier!
