It's an interesting article. From experience, I'd say if you're the type of person who keeps score of household duties and actually cares, it's worth setting up expectations. If you and your SO can be relaxed enough to let duties fall where they may and not keep score, it's worked for DH and I. We kinda worked out a daily schedule of who would do what feedings once he went back to work, and we tend to trade off a lot, but I think the most important thing is striking a balance early and then not flipping out when the scales tip one way or another!
