So, I pulled up to our house today and there was a car parked RIGHT IN FRONT of our house. We are not in a busy neighborhood. Very few people ever drive through here. We have many guns in our house and both my DH and I have our Concealed Carry License to have a gun with us outside of the home.

As far as quick access at home but protecting it from little ones - we each have a tabletop safe on our bedside tables. They hold one gun each and use a pushbutton code to open quickly. The rest of our guns are all locked up in our gun safe. My 15 yr old DS does know where the key is for the safe, but he has taken many gun safety classes as well.
